This was a good recap, I think – I haven't ever seen a single full Star Trek episode (or movie, if you exclude the JJ Abrams one). I was traumatized as a 3-year-old when I wandered in on my babysitter's husband watching a TNG episode involving flesh-eating bugs. It was the scariest thing I'd ever seen. Then, not too long after that, I happened to walk in during the stomach-bursting, tap-dancing alien scene from Space Balls and was haunted by it for years. Never knew that it was supposed to be funny until my first year of college. Three-year-old me was a big scaredy cat. Then again, I do get zombie nightmares from Shaun of the Dead. My psyche does not understand horror comedy .
